We pass on the savings in the cost of the procedure by performing the operation as an outpatient procedure at riverview health institute. A patient is held in the post-operative holding area for a prolonged recovery establishing a safe discharge. The cost of a Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass includes a one-night stay at Riverview Health Institute in the specially designed hospital rooms constructed to accommodate bariatric patients. If cash pay is an option for your bariatric care, we will accommodate your needs and arrange the services to be rendered. The standard American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery recommendations are followed. So the same diet assessment, cardiac work-up, psychology consultation, and laboratory evaluations will be performed through your insurance or at an additional cost to the patient.
